inside out – anatomical layers

In the Coppelia 2 Inside Out project, the inside of the body is turned inside out. Existential manipulations take place invisibly inside the body. When the building blocks of life are exposed, anything is possible: repairing, copying, cloning, breeding. The line is blurred: false teeth, false knees, joint prostheses, transplanted organs, donated or of unknown origin. A printed organ is more elegant, but isn’t it possible to grow a whole person? Some organs are less valued: tens of thousands of uterus removals are performed every year, many of them unnecessary. However, research is being carried out into an artificial uterus. We want replacements if something doesn’t work, but we want to be irreplaceable.

Inside Out – Coppelia (Coppelia Inside Out was conceived for this exhibition and includes a dialogue between the display case of the same name and another called Futur3. In addition, there is an A2 format with laser cuts of the shape of a kidney, 4 boxes with the negative moulds of a kidney and 3 short films on the subject of biotechnology, which can be viewed on site via Cardboard. Materials are acrylic glass, fin cardboard and wood, technique: laser cut, laying and plug-in systems.
