Interactive and virtual light and sound installation with your own and submitted voice and sound files
Call for Voices: *Organ of Voices – voice donations wanted!
We are looking for 16 contributions: voices, singing, choir, noises, breathing, words, laughter, whispering, poetry. Historical and personal – truth or fairy tales, as well as voices from everyday life.
For the participatory project ‘Organ of Voices’, short voice and sound contributions (max. 1 minute) will be woven together into a temporary audiovisual installation.
Send us a recording of your voice – whether spoken, sung, sighed, whispered or just a noise. Anything goes: a sentence, a sound, a poem, a noise, a moment.
Use your mobile phone, preferred device and microphone or webcam to record 10 to 60 seconds of sound, preferably without background noise, or use a previous recording.
Read the terms and conditions in the attachment or on the website and, if you agree,
send us your name, sound name and contact details, preferably as a forward of this email, to matthias@yourartbeat.de and the sound file – free of charge and without an account – via swisstransfer.com to simono@email.de.
Preferably send the file as wav or aiff 44 kHz, otherwise .mp3 or .m4a in the best possible quality.
Write a short description of how you would like to title the recording or what it means.
The new deadline for submissions is 22 November 2025.
We will get back to you by 23 November at the latest. The selected contributions will be incorporated into the Organ of Voices, a surreal and temporary light and sound installation by audiovisual artist Simono at the event Stimmbilder (Voice Images) – an event organised by Your Art Beat e. V.
Performance of the ‘Organ of Voices’ on 28 and 29 November 2025 at 6 p.m. in the Kiezraum at Dragonerareal e.V., Mehringdamm (behind the tax office), 10963 Berlin
The names of the creators will be presented on the pillars of the Kiezraum. More detailed conditions – including copyright information, etc. – can be found in the appendix, at yourartbeat.net and simono.de/orgel-der-stimmen. We look forward to your contributions!
